Terms of service

What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

Version 2026-03 · In effect since 1 September 2026

Who may use Iskolarly

Anyone looking for a scholarship may create a student account, free of charge, and it stays free. If you are under 18, please go through this with a parent or guardian before you sign up — some of what a scholarship asks for is information they should know you are sharing.

An organization account may only be registered by somebody authorised to act for that organization. Registering one on behalf of an organization you do not represent is a misuse of the platform.

What we do, and what we do not do

We are the infrastructure between students and the organizations that fund scholarships. We publish what sponsors post, we work out which scholarships you are eligible for from the rules they set, and we carry your application to them.

We do not award scholarships, fund them, or influence who receives one. Every decision on an application is the sponsor’s. We cannot promise that any scholarship listed here will be awarded, that a sponsor will respond, or that the terms a sponsor describes will not change.

Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through it.

What you put in your profile and your applications must be true. Misrepresenting your circumstances to obtain a scholarship is the one thing here that harms another student directly — it takes a place from somebody who qualified.

What sponsors agree to

A sponsor may use what a student shares to assess that student’s application, and for nothing else. It may not be sold, passed to a third party, or used to market anything.

A published scholarship must describe accurately what it gives, what it requires, and who may apply. A sponsor whose jurisdiction is limited — a local government, for instance — may only publish scholarships within it, and we enforce that.

Content you upload

Your documents and your writing remain yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to a sponsor you apply to, which is the whole of what we do with them.

Suspension

We may suspend an account that is being used to falsify credentials, to impersonate an organization, to scrape the platform, or to harass somebody. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to answer first.

Availability

We work to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, and we are not liable for a deadline missed because of an outage. If an outage affects a closing date, tell us and we will raise it with the sponsor — the decision to extend is theirs.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you before the change takes effect and give you a chance to close your account instead. The version and date at the top of this page say which text is current.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

The companion to this document is privacy notice. If anything here is unclear, or you want to exercise one of the rights it describes, write to us and a person will answer.
